Disclosed are a regenerative braking method of a means of transportation, and an apparatus using the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the regenerative braking method which optimizes a driving habit of a driver comprises the steps of: accumulating a reduction level of a driver; determining a regenerative braking level based on the accumulated reduction level; and determining torque of a motor based on the regenerative braking level.
