In coming years, attraction to alternative urban mobility paradigms such as Connected and Autonomous Electric Vehicles (CAEVs) will increase since CAEVs can significantly contribute to not only optimize traffic flow and improve road safety but also minimize dependence on fossil fuel and reduce carbon emission in urban areas. Nonetheless, there are several barriers towards widespread adoption of CAEVs. In order to have significant growth of CAEVs in urban areas, adequate number of charging facilities in urban areas is needed as well as an efficient smart CAEV charging management is required for managing and allocating charging station resources. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a system utilizing automated reservation based charging strategies that include effective reservation management and efficient allocation of time slots of wireless charging stations.
