A model of the transport-aircraft M6 wing was used to study the characteristics of three-dimensional subsonic and transonic flows in general and the phenomenon of buffeting in particular. In spite of their preliminary tentative nature, the data obtained indicate that the motion of the model has little effect 9on the aerodynamics and that if this finding is confirmed by future tests with various geometries, it should be possible to study buffeting quantitatively from the nonstationary pressures measured on the wing.
