On July 6, 1970, an experimental Dial-a-Bus feeder service to the GO Transit rail commuter service at Bay Ridges was introduced by the Department of Highways, Ontario. This paper describes the experiment, its objectives, and the criteria to be used to measure its results. It includes a summary of data accumulated during the first six months of operations, relating to patronage, costs, and operational problems associated with the vehicles used in the experiment.
