The article describes the dependence of the method of organizing the trains’ movement on the section and the section capacity in general. Cases of restoring the train schedule after the technological breaks in the train schedule are considered. A method of organizing the passage of trains during breaks in the train schedule is presented, according to which the recovery time is significantly reduced. The authors proposed to organize the trains’ passage during repair and maintenance work using interval traffic control, namely, connecting trains of the same direction by a radio channel to reduce the train-to-train interval. The method described in the article is supported by comparisons of recovery times when using automatic blocking and interval control. Restoring the train schedule is the key component of the train traffic operation, on which the section and station operability depends.
