Electrified Oak Point Yard of New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in New York City has been used for determining figures of watt-hours per ton-mile for different kinds of switching; accordingly, two electric locomotives were equipped with necessary instruments, and total of 39 1/6 hr. of operation was recorded; entire procedure of tests described and lists in tabulated form data obtained.
