The invention relates to the technical field of railway traffic safety, and discloses a railway train coming early warning system and method based on a Lora communication technology. Comprising a LoRa data transmission radio transmitter mounted at the head of a train, a LoRa data transmission radio receiver mounted along a railway, an audible and visual alarm and a power supply system, wherein the LoRa data transmission radio transmitter transmits switching value signals according to a set period; the LoRa data radio receiver receives the switching value signal transmitted by the transmitter and judges whether the train enters an early warning area or not according to the strength of the received signal; the audible and visual alarm is controlled by the receiver to be started and sends out sound and light alarm signals. The power supply system is a solar power supply system. By adopting the railway coming train early warning system based on the LoRa communication technology and combining the flexible parameter adjustment of the transmitter and the receiver, the accurate control of the early warning range is realized. Reliable communication can be realized in a range of 800 meters by adjusting key parameters such as transmitting power and a signal threshold value.
