The method comprises the following steps: determining first target environment brightness of a first environment area of a target vehicle; the first environment area is an environment area observed through an inner rearview mirror of a target vehicle, and the first target environment brightness is the maximum value of the first local environment brightness of the first environment area; if the first target environment brightness and the overall environment brightness meet a preset brightness condition, determining second target environment brightness of a second environment area of the target vehicle; the second environment area is an environment area observed through an outside rear-view mirror of the target vehicle; according to the first target environment brightness and the second target environment brightness, whether the anti-dazzling function of the outside rear-view mirror is started or not is judged. According to the embodiment of the invention, under the condition of the existing equipment of the vehicle, the anti-dazzling function of the outside rear-view mirror is accurately and automatically started based on the actual environment of the vehicle, and the driving safety of a user is improved.
