Virginia's WARP is well established and receives strong support at all levels of VDOT. There is strong evidence that the program is working. The most compelling evidence of success is the decrease in wet accident hotspots over the past several years at a time when traffic volumes have risen significantly. However, rapidly increasing traffic and the public demand for ever-safer highways will require further improvements in the program.
