In the article it is studied the increased control of the quality of the received knowledge in the university system by means of the score-rating system of estimation, where the rating of students is formed by aggregation of auditorium and independent work. Modern tendencies in higher education, advantages and disadvantages of the point rating system as a pedagogical technology of objective assessment of knowledge, as a means and method of controlling the student’s activity in the module-competence model of education, are revealed. The rating system is analyzed from the point of view of its integrity, variability and content as a form of control and training of a specialist possessing knowledge competences and able to apply this knowledge in practice.
