Two kinds of parabolic thrusters with a focal point and a round shroud focus respectively were studied. Numerical and experimental results showed that impulse coupling coefficient Cm was largely dependent on nozzle’s shape. Propulsion performance of laser thruster with a focal point is better than that with a round shroud focus.
