This paper is proposed to present the simulation of a STATCOM using a three phase two leg inverter. In this inverter, Pulse Width Modulation switching technique is adopted. The proposed inverter is coupled to a three phase transformer which acts as a STATCOM. By using this STATCOM, reactive power flow is compensated in a transmission system.
