In this paper we present a study of the THz electromagnetic properties of anisotropic eutectic metamaterials of cylindrical polaritonic LiF rods embedded in NaCl host and of polaritonic lammelas of NaF layers in BaF 2 . It is shown that such systems can be characterized by hyperbolic dispersion relation in the THz regime. Analysis of fields for different rod/layer orientations is carried out and superlensing and super resolution effects are demonstrated and analyzed. Principles of operation are also explained.
