In conditions of instability of global economic processes, problems of the country’s economic development, the issue of increasing the efficiency of the subjects of economic relations remains topical. The development of methods for assessing the efficiency of industrial and economic activities of railway transport is based on the achievements of science and technology, the introduction of new methods of organizing production, the improvement of economic mechanisms, legal mechanisms for regulating the internal processes of the units of the transport system in interaction with external actors. The transport system is a subject that regulates relations in the transport services market, for example, between transport and passengers when transporting market participants, when distributing demand for various types of transport, when establishing mutually beneficial economic relations between transport and manufacturers of items for transportation. Thus, the task of the transport industry is to act as a regulator in such relations.
