In the present paper, we report on the results of an experimental and numerical study of the structure of subsonic jets ejected into a slot ambient space between two parallel disks. It is shown that the discharged jet is an isobaric one having a characteristic diverging shape. Due to the action of the friction force on the walls of the disks, the gas in the jet gets decelerated. Based on the quasi-one-dimensional model of gas flow, the dependence of gas velocity and jet boundary on the longitudinal coordinate in the jet is derived.
