The article considers the complex approach to the analysis of the behavior of telecommunications traffic in modern telecommunications systems. The current features of information exchange are outlined, and the review of scientific works in the field of behavioral analysis of network traffic is presented. The features of various types of traffic – data transmission, real-time, transactions-are described. The emphasis is placed on various approaches: to analysis for real-time traffic, retrospective analysis. The review of existing systems for analyzing network traffic at the present stage is carried out. The effective method of analyzing the traffic of information systems for self-similarity, long-term dependence, and the tail of the distribution is presented. The results were tested in relation to the corporate information environment of the Rostov State Transport University.
