In this paper, a real-time bus travel-time prediction model is established by using Kalman filtering theory. The novel model can predict the travel-time by utilizing detected traffic volume on the links in the urban road networks, which is significant to the operation of urban buses system. The model is tested with practical detected data, and the results show that it has good properties.
