The mix of freight and passenger traffic in urban areas and traffic congestion pose great challenges for to China’s domestic port road transport. To address these issues, Tianjin Port has proposed constructing a dedicated freight transportation corridor. This study utilizes AnyLogic simulation software to create a model for port traffic organization, offering insights and recommendations for traffic flow allocation and congestion alleviation within the dedicated corridor. Preliminary data analysis, considering road transport characteristics, cargo throughput, and multimodal transport development at Tianjin Port, provides the basis for the model. Combining traffic network simulation with vehicle behavior, the research aims to optimize traffic organization, providing practical decision-making tools for congestion mitigation.
