A hybrid genetic algorithm for solving vehicle routing problems with time window (VRPTW) is presented. The proposed heuristic adopts a new chromosome structure containing more information about the vehicle route configuration. Computational experiments are implemented to verify the performance of the proposed hybrid genetic algorithm, and the solutions are competitive to those published in literature.
