Objectives of this paper are to: 1) Identify the criteria and requirements of a `logistics' firm in Mainland China and Hong Kong; and recommend how to migrate from the traditional transportation industry to modern logistics management; 2) Formulate a `Quality Logistics Management Model', which serves as a management tool to ensure the logistics system running effectively and efficiently; and 3) Observe why the Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation has changed from Logistics Centre to Distribution Centre; and explore the business opportunities possibly generated from KCRC Distribution Centre Project.
