The goal of this study is to understand the correlations between traffic variables and air pollutant concentrations at an inner city school site. Carbon monoxide has been selected as a representative traffic generated pollutant and the traffic column is used to represent transportation. A total of five days data collection was performed from both arterial area and highway in March, 2010. CO concentration, traffic volume at local intersection and highway and meteorology data was obtained. CO concentration increases in the peak hour time. Good correlations were observed from highway and some local samplings.
