The operation of roundabout is not only affected by its geometric characteristics and operation rules, but also mainly affected by traffic distribution of inlet and outlet flow. To explore the suitability of roundabout traffic under the condition of various distributions from the view of running efficiency will benefit to planning and design of the roundabout, and also benefit to traffic organization in peak. In this paper, based on the field data at SHUMA roundabout, the appropriate traffic under the various kinds of influence volumes was analyzed by using VISSUM simulation.
