An urban green traffic system is aimed to maintain the sustainable development of the environment in a city to achieve a safe, environmentally-friendly, and low-carbon ecological transport system, which makes use of low-energy, low-emission, and low-pollution transport, including public transportation, rail transportation, slow traffic, new energy, and environment-friendly vehicles. This system is a very complex dynamic system, influenced by social, economic, environmental, and other factors. The study of evaluation indicators can identify the important factors that can guide the development of an urban green traffic system better. This paper determines the representative indicators by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Through the selection and revision of many influential factors, this paper identifies the final and representative indicators, covering traffic objects, traffic means, traffic networks, and traffic environments. This paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system of an urban green traffic system, which is very comprehensive and consistent with the present situation to evaluate the status of urban traffic operation, and achieve to guide the sustainable development of an urban green traffic system.
