In this study, we analyzed the existing standards for station construction and related research and clarified the requirements of station construction. We proposed the configuration requirement of the transfer facilities based on the analysis of passenger transfer behaviors in integrated passenger transport hubs. A new model is developed to determine the scale of transfer facilities, including passenger transfer squares, transfer halls, transfer channels and other transfer facilities. The proposed method was designed to match the capability and function of transfer facilities according to the development demand of integrated passenger transport hubs. We provide a general formula in this study that is ready to be applied to a generalized integrated passenger transport hub.
