Current transit network design methods often are over-simplified in terms of demand interactions, or neglect the importance of designing an integrated multi-modal network. In this study, we develop a two-phase methodology for integrated transit network design in a multi-modal network. Estimation of refined transit demand between origins, destinations and inter-modal transfer locations is processed in Phase 1; while the transit routes are built in the Phase 2. A numerical example is used to illustrate the approach.
