Taiwan and mainland is in a state of isolation since 1949. Chen Yunlin and Jiang Bingkun signed the "The Cross-Strait Shipping Agreement" on November 4, 2008. It will become much more important to find out how the shipping trade increases. This paper first introduces several typical forecast models about the induced freight volume of traffic. And then analyzes the circumstances of ports between Taiwan and mainland. Finally a prediction model about the induced volume of ports has been introduced.
