Accurate analysis and prediction of road network invulnerability improves traffic organization and management in disaster conditions. This paper introduces a concept and method of invulnerability reliability using complex network theory. The urban road network invulnerability reliability (URNIR) is defined as the measurement value of reliability of the entire road network in normal operation after being damaged by traffic emergencies. The urban road network damage resistance reliability is used to represent the ability of the urban road network to meet traffic demands and function in the event of an accident. Based on the evaluation of the reliability of the subsystem, a model of the reliability of the urban road network is established. The invulnerability performance of the road network is evaluated from different angles, which provides a way to analyze the situation of urban road network events from the perspective of macro road network structures.
