The output or resisting torque from a constant torque compliant mechanism keeps invariant in a substantial scope of input turn. Unlike regular steady torque consistent mechanisms that have one input rotation direction, the input rotation of a bidirectional steady torque compliant mechanism can be either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Resisting or output torque reverses its direction with the change of the input rotation direction. The unique feature of bidirectional steady torque consistent mechanisms makes their amalgamation difficult. In this thesis, an amalgamation technique is acquainted to surmount the synthesis challenges. The steady opposing torque is produced through an arrangement of curved beams that are mounted inside an annular outline space. Because of the bidirectional requirement, the two closures of each bended shaft are aligned along radial direction before deformation to avoid rotational bias. Spline curves are employed to describe curved beams and defined by their control parameters. The combination of a bidirectional steady torque mechanism is systematized as advancing the control parameters of its curved beams. The introduced technique is exhibited by the amalgamation of bidirectional steady torque consistent mechanisms that have distinctive arrangements of curved beams in the thesis.
