The article deals with the methodological approach to the feasibility study of development of advanced electronic products, based on the principle of joint use of new and traditional technologies. The tools used for formation of expedient options of composition of perspective samples of such products have been reviewed, including the model of solutions of particular tasks of the reviewed process and the criteria for their parametric optimization. The task has been formulated to ensure a balanced development of a variety of different types and items of electronic products with allowance for limitations fixed for resources allocated for development of new advanced products. The structure has been presented for technique of the formation of expedient list of electronic products, such structure to secure a well-balanced planning of development of some particular items (types), which shall ensure a maximum effectiveness in implementation of the functional tasks assigned to such products. The procedure of application of the said technique has been described. The set-up of the evaluation system for evaluation of the efficiency of joint use of traditional and new technologies in the formation of expedient list of electronic products has been substantiated. There have been investigated the areas of possible options of joint application of new and traditional types of technologies in the formation of the expedient list of electronic products. The core stages of the feasibility study of the joint use of new and traditional technologies in the design of advanced models of radio electronic products have been established. A standard model has been proposed for evaluation of indicators of readiness, cost and risks associated with development of new technologies required for manufacture of advanced radio electronic products.
