In the paper the psychophysiological factors determining the ability to drive were characterized. The present methods of assessment of the basic driver’s physiological parameters were described and also the measurement methods, currently used in work medicine were presented. Additionally, the possibilities of the assessment of the psychophysiological state of the driver, using currently available, hardware solution were shown.
