The MEO navigation constellation confronts the issue of deteriorated navigation performance in the circumstances of satellite decommissioning and signal interference. Firstly, the satellite failure performance of Walker 24/3/1 MEO navigation constellation was analyzed to identify the failure mode that had the greatest impact on the constellation. Secondly, the navigation enhancement scheme of single star selection and orbital plane selection was determined by utilizing the existing LEO large-scale constellation. Finally, the optimal scheme was ascertained by comparing with the performance of the reference navigation constellation. The aim of this paper is to promptly compensate for the performance degradation following the failure of MEO constellation satellites, thereby reducing the cost and enhancing the overall service performance of the LEO constellation.
