Due to the ever-increasing population, the concepts of sustainability and circular economy have come to the forefront. The number of vehicles per capita has increased in direct proportion to the human population. The increasing population and number of motor vehicles have also brought pollution. Some of these types of pollution are exhaust fumes, noise pollution, odour pollution, air pollution, and carbon emissions caused by motor vehicles. These problems have brought about a search for solutions and resources. The use of electric vehicles is seen as one of the solutions. As the number of electric vehicles has increased, the need for electric car charging stations has also increased, but at this point there are significant gaps in meeting these needs due to the depletion of energy and natural resources. This study aimed to develop a method for positioning charging stations for electric vehicles by considering sustainability and the circular economy, and we have applied this method to the province of Izmir.
