Technique of dynamic programming is used to determine optimum flight profiles for interceptor aircraft; future development resulted in ground-based computer program which outputs printed graphical presentation of families of profiles; visual display performs variety of functions, particularly those involving problems of selecting general flight control laws and logic to be designed into airborne flight control computers; tactical situations are analyzed.
