It is predicted that, in Germany, at least, high-speed rail vehicles of future will fall into two groups: express rail cars, with streamlining a primary, and weight secondary consideration, and fast rail cars, intended for working heavily graded lines, as light as possible and capable of quick speed recovery; types illustrated; curve calculation; question of steering.
