Derivation of closed-form, exact analytical equations governing 3-dimensional relative motion between vehicles executing rendezvous maneuver in specified flight time is presented; vehicular orbits may be either elliptical, parabolic, or hyperbolic; relationship between observed data and relative position and velocity vectors is given; guidance law required at initiation and termination of rendezvous maneuver is established.
