Reusable space vehicles are classified into Earth-orbital transports, interorbital space ferry vehicles, lunar surface-to-orbit and planetary surface-to-orbit shuttles; propulsion systems for reusable space vehicles include chemical, solid-core nuclear, nuclear-pulse, nuclear-electric, gas-core nuclear, and controlled thermonuclear propulsion; attempt is made to estimate time relationship for these propulsion concepts, when they could become available, in terms of technology, for operational missions; possible application of these types of reusable space vehicles.
