Superconductivity and associated Meissner effect are discussed in relation to electric power generators; analytic and preliminary study is made of Pancake and Current-sheet generator; results indicate advantages include weight of 1/2 of conventional approaches, volume of 1/10th of conventional designs, and efficiencies of very nearly 100%.
