Submarine depot ship, launched on October 22, at Barrow-in-Furness shipyard of Vickers Armstrong, is single-screw coal-burning steamer; she has length of 390 ft.; speed will be 13 knots; main propelling machinery comprises one set of Parsons compound turbines, driving single four-bladed propeller through single-reduction helical gearing having Vickers Bostock Bramley enveloping tooth.
