Additional closed-form expressions are developed to complete set of required equations for closed-form guidance technique; all expressions are simple algebraic equations and have extremely wide range of applicability; simulation results are given using same set of six equations to control re-entry for medium lift/drag lifting vehicle; control law is hypothesized and used to cause trajectory to follow commanded drag level and vertical velocity; control law reduces trajectory longitudinal phugoid response to that of linear second-order system over wide operating region where gains can be adjusted to give desired damping ratio and frequency.
