Maneuvers include bielliptic transfer with plane change, Hohmann transfer with plane change, and "modified" Hohmann transfer, which consists of in-plane Hohmann transfer to final radius, followed by third impulse at line of nodes to change interceptor's plane to that of target; total velocity increment requirements are given in terms of final-to-initial radius ratio for various plane change angles; optimum plane change split for bielliptic and Hohmann maneuvers is shown; phasing angles and rendezvous times are evaluated, and regions where bielliptic maneuver is faster or requires less total velocity increment than modified Hohmann transfer indicated.
