Two-impulse torquing scheme for reorienting spin axis of asymmetric spinning vehicle through large angles is described; if all parameters are nominal and torques are ideally impulsive, scheme is theoretically perfect; mechanization of scheme using body-fixed torquing jets is discussed, and results are illustrated with numerical example; steady-state reorientation error produced by variation in spin speed from its nominal value is examined and found to be small for typical variations.
