Average shopper follows fairly distinct patterns; method developed whereby destination and frequency of auto and transit shopping trips from any residential area can be predicted; frequency of vehicular shopping-goods trips emanating from residential area average about one trip per week per family; convenience-goods trips are more frequent, depending upon degree of car ownership.
