Each train consists of power car, baggage car, and three passenger trailer cars; power car is provided with driver's cabin at each end; installed are two 8-cycl 2-stroke 330-bhp Harland-B and W engines directly connected to Voith-Sinclair turbo-converters, two auxiliary National oil engines of 34 bhp for supplying power for train lighting, air conditioning and compressed air for brakes.
