Sicily's capital is served by two private transport companies, SAIA (Societa Anonima Industria Autobus) which operates motor buses, and S AST (Societa Anonima Siciliana Trasporti) which runs trolleybuses; three types of vehicles used are: 110-hp Alfa Romeo 85A, 32 ft long; 3-axled 140-hp Alfa Romeo 110A, 35 ft long; and 95-hp Lancia 3Ro, 32 ft long.
