Cargo passenger ship to be built wholly as U S Maritime Commission project; it will be designated as C3-S-DX1 type design; length oa 477 ft 6 in.; beam molded 66 ft; depth to weather deck 41 ft 6 in.; main propelling machinery will consist of cross compound, double reduction, geared turbine driving single propeller through line of shafting, and developing 12,500 shp at 90 rpm.
