Cost of snow removal and snow and ice control in North Dakota amounted to $1,000,000 during winter of 1947-48 when average snowfall was 45.8 in.; procedure consisted of removal with motor graders and one way plows, followed by V-type plows mounted on 1 1/2 to 3-ton trucks.
