Suggested plan for equalizing passenger travel over both rail and road services; scheme would provide traveling public with facilities to travel at comparable fares, by whichever service they preferred and so spread load more evenly over various forms of transport, while increase of road and tube fares to level proposed for rail ordinary fares would certainly maintain and probably increase total revenue of British Transport Commission from passenger traffic.
