250,000-v X-ray machine, mounted on 4-wheel chassis, is used in Altoona, Pa, Test Dept of Pennsylvania Railroad to guide manufacture of new and replacement parts of railway equipment, for occasional inspection of used parts, and as aid to Purchasing Department in determining quality of products; it can be moved into various shops for on the spot radiography; overhead clearance required is 12 ft 6 in.; X-ray head can be manipulated on jib crane.
