Tests made in 24-ft open jet wind tunnel, with 12-ft diam rotor having untwisted blades of 6-in. chord; object was to compare forces on rotor with calculated values; author regards tandem rotor helicopter with two equal rotors rotating in opposite directions at same tip speed, as typical multirotor helicopter, and discusses this type only.
