Train, based upon designs of Spanish "Patentes Talgo" completed by American Car and Foundry Co; design and aluminum construction give weight reduction of nearly 75%; trains consist of Diesel electric locomotive, baggage unit, and coach; coach consists of four articulated passenger units and one equipment unit, each having only one pair of wheels in rear; at front each unit is supported by special coupling on unit ahead, first being supported by locomotive.
